First-time travelers and those who have previously worked in the UAE must obtain affidavit support at Philippine airports. This document includes the sponsor’s personal information, outlines the relationship between the traveler and the sponsor, and assures coverage of travel expenses within the country. The Affidavit of Guarantee and Support for travel, commonly referred to as the RED-RIBBON, is issued by the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai. Requirements and Eligibility
A new requirement for the Affidavit of Support and Guarantee (ASG), effective from August 24, 2020, mandates that individuals must schedule an online appointment via the pre-assessment system. Proof of Relationship:
An applicant can execute an affidavit to sponsor a relative only within the 1st and 2nd of consanguinity or affinity.

Proof of Income:
The sponsor should show proof of income in the United Arab Emirates based on the following thresholds:

Sponsor’s Documents
- Copy of the passport, Emirates ID, and UAE visa page
- Employment contract verified by Polo
- MOHRE contract for the private sector
- Past six months pay slip, salary certificate or bank proof
- Tenancy contact or hotel booking stamped by the hotel or travel agency
- Birth certificates and marriage certificates for proof of relationship
Visitor’s Documents
- Completed Affidavit of Support and Guarantee Form
- Copy of passport and UAE tourist visa with insurance
- Birth certificate for proof of relationship
Exemptions
- Senior citizens (60 years old and older) are exempted.
- Minor travelers (17 years old and below) are exempted.
